Walter Rutherfurd’s 1756 arrival from Scotland to fight in the French and Indian War initiated a Rutherfurd family presence in the Sussex/Warren County region that has lasted 270 years (so far!). This lecture, given by Rutherfurd Hall historian Joan Leckie Salvas, will introduce you to five generations of Rutherfurds whose impact on the region, the state, and the nation is far reaching.
