From the DIY underground comix scene to mainstream recognition, this program spotlights five bold, witty queer comic artists whose uncensored work tackles big ideas and uses art as a force for social change. A lively mash-up of art, comedy, and history, it shares the remarkable stories of scrappy, pioneering creators who helped make LGBTQIA+ lives visible. Their challenges—and the creative ways they overcame them—are as inspiring as they are entertaining. (Run time: 78 minutes) Appropriate for community members ages 13 and up.
