Registration is required for each date.  Dress in comfortable clothes that will allow you to move freely.  Instructor bio Linda Hopper began her yoga journey in 1995. Since then, she has been certified to teach Kripalu yoga, Kundalini yoga, restorative yoga, energy medicine yoga, and meditation. Additionally, Linda is a Reiki master and an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) coach. Linda lives with her husband, John, in Center Harbor during the cooler months and on Bear Island in the summer. Geoffrey Burke will talk about his grandparents’ work in Alaska delivering healthcare to Native communities, which has been documented in the recently-published book Hospital and Haven: The Life and Work of Grafton and Clara Burke in Northern Alaska by Mary F. Ehrlander with Hild M. Peters.    When Grafton and Clara Burke arrived in Fort Yukon, they established a hospital, mission home and orphanage.  The death rate had exceeded the birth rate among the Native population, but within a year, through basic healthcare, they had turned it around. The Safe Place Bereavement Group is here to support you through the ups and downs of loss. Our group provides a welcoming environment where you can share your experiences, express your feelings, and learn coping strategies. While your grief is unique, finding comfort in connecting with others who face similar challenges can be reassuring. Grieving is a process that requires your attention, and there’s no single “right” way to do it. Though joining a grief group might feel daunting, many have discovered it to be an invaluable resource. Remember, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. There are six classes in the series.
