The holidays are quickly approaching and if you would like to make ceramic gifts you need to do it during the month of November to assure that they are ready for the gift-giving season. We will be offering clay night during each Open Art of November.  Don’t wait till the last minute.  Ceramic ornaments are just one option they make great gifts and are easy to make.  Make this a hand-made holiday! Drop-in and create.  This is an Open Art session with clay. Basic clay instruction on clay hand-building and tool usage will be provided. (sorry no wheels)  Your studio fee is $14.00, 1 pound of clay is $5.00 – additional clay can be purchased for $5.00/ pound.  The clay fee includes the first firing in the kiln (bisque fire).  Later, come to a Glaze Night. Your studio fee is $14.00 on this day. Your glaze fee will be $5.00 for each pound of clay used. Your piece will be glaze fired in the kiln to create your functional ceramic piece.  Seating is limited so don’t wait till the last minute.  First come/first serve for spaces.  Cash is preferred but cards are accepted.   You can come and glaze your clay items on 12/09 & 12/16.

If your child is in 3rd Grade they can now attend the 1, 2 & 3 Art Club!! on Wednesdays. This club is from 315 – 4:15. If you would like to join the Wednesday group waiting list, please email: [email protected] Come have fun exploring new art materials and techniques! Meet other young artists and find your favorite mediums.  We will paint, sculpt, draw, make 3 dimensional art, prints, and mixed media pieces. Come see what you can do! Art Club for grades 3 -5 or age equivalent, will meet Mondays from 3:15 – 5:00.  Registration is for 4 weeks of classes which is a “session.” You may also sign up for a “semester,”/ half year, and receive a discount. If you are registering for one session at a time you must renew your registration monthly by emailing Vandy at [email protected] or speaking to her directly on or before the third day of the current session so your child’s spot isn’t filled by someone else. Epping students will be picked up at school and walked down to the Arts Center by the Creative Community Space group leader.  Students should bring a snack to eat before we begin Art Club activities. Thank You.   Come create your way!  Middle School Art Club is a social art group that is full of choice!  Students are shown tools and techniques and given some examples of the ways they are used and can then explore their own creativity.  The group is also shown examples of how art is powerful!  This feeds their creative self-esteem as they create for self-expression. Please reach out if you have questions about this group!  [email protected] Students walk down from the Epping Middle School on their own- to arrive at the Art Center around 2:30.  (Vandy will walk them down the first time – and again if requested) Students from districts other than Epping should be dropped off by 2:40. If you have an item that needs to be glazed before the holidays – DON’T WAIT! Weather and illness can close the Art Center – get your item glazed as soon as possible! Did you make ceramics at a Creative Community Space class or event?  Come on this evening to paint on your glaze so we can fire it again and make it a functional ceramic piece for you.  You pay a $14.00 studio fee. Glaze is then $5.00/ pound of clay used. This includes your second firing to make your creation a functional ceramic piece. This is an All Ages event. Drop in, no registration needed. *Open Art is Free to Members of Creative Community Space, they only pay the $3.50 materials fee on clay and glaze nights- see our website for membership details. (Kindergarten students can join on Thursdays in January – see bottom of the page) We will meet Wednesdays from 3:15 – 4:15.  Epping Elemenary students will be picked up and walked down from school by CCS Staff. Non-walker information below.   Parents are asked to come into the Art Center to pick up their child at 4:15 Students who attend Epping Rec can be walked to Rec after Art Club for a $2.00/ week fee.
