The Ambassadors committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 9am. Ambassadors help promote the Chamber, support chamber functions and work to retain and build membership. Projecting a positive image, assisting with volunteer roles at events, and reaching out to members along with recruiting new members are among the primary activities of an Ambassador. Examples of Ambassador tasks include: calling or visiting with new and prospective members, inviting members to events, greeting attendees at events, and table hosts at luncheons.

(Leadership Education And Development) Independence aims to provide a network of informed leaders with a commitment to the continued growth and development of our City.  L.E.A.D. Independence provides a road map for successful community development through interaction with key community leaders and the issues that make Independence distinctive. Who Benefits? Everyone! The community, the candidate and sponsoring organizations. The community receives an expanding source of informed, dedicated leaders. The candidates obtain a wealth of information about Independence, as well as involvement with key leaders in the community during the course. The sponsoring organizations benefit from the management development of their participants, in addition to achieving better community relations due to the networking of the men and women in L.E.A.D. Local coffee shops in the Eastern Jackson County area, primarily in Independence, MO Location is posted on our Facebook page. We usually meet at Coffee Elsewhere. Main Street Coffee, on the Independence Square, or Coffee OverBoard in Lee's Summit.

Public Policy Committee Meeting

The Public Policy Committee normally meets on the third Friday of each month at 8:30 am prior to the monthly Legislative Briefings which begin at 9:00 am.   All Chamber members are welcome to attend.
