Come learn the fine art of Ukrainian Egg Painting with your children ages 12 and up. You will receive a kit to keep including dyes, a kitska, and wax. A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, "to write" or "to in scribe", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Pre-registration and payment required by March 5th in order to provide supplies for all attending. The Nate Matousek State Farm Agency and Trinity Waconia are partnering to host Waconia's 5th Annual community-wide Easter egg hunt in City Square Park! Come join us in City Square Park on Sunday, March 29 for a hoppin' good time! At 12:30 pm there will be treats, drinks, and Easter Bunny greetings! The egg hunt will kick off at 1 pm with kids divided into 3 groups. Raffle prizes announced immediately following the hunt. We are pleased to announce a donation drive benefiting Waconia Gather & Grow Food Shelf. All donations are appreciated. Special Section Available!
