Chamber Luncheon Thursday, June 25, 2026 11:30am-1:00pm Topic: Agritourism: A Local Farm to Table Experience Location: Parley Lake Winery | 8280 Parley Lake Road, Waconia  Join us for a unique luncheon that celebrates the intersection of agriculture, tourism, and community. This month, we’re exploring how local experiences like wineries, creameries, farm visits, and more help drive tourism and economic growth here. This interactive experience will showcase local apples, wine, cheese, meat, and bread while giving attendees a chance to connect with familiar makers and enjoy some of the region’s best flavors together. We will welcome Christine Leonard from The Grater Good, Steve Zeller from Parley Lake Winery, and Lin Deardorff from Deardorff Orchards to share their expertise and insights on the role of agriculture in building a vibrant local tourism economy. In addition, we'll have specialty meats from Havenwood Meats and bread from Bear Country Blooms. Is your favorite coat or pair of pants needing a new zipper?  We’ve got you!  This class is for you. Join us to learn how to replace a zipper or how add a zipper to your project. We’ll be teaching you how to take the zipper out of your item, and how to put it back in. We suggest using a practice item with a separating zipper like those on a hoodie. No pants please. Don’t have one you’re willing to sacrifice for class? We suggest checking out the thrift stores! This class is for anyone 10 and up who has or can borrow a sewing machine and has basic knowledge of its operation. Space is limited to 10 people. The class will be hosted at the Andrew Peterson Farmstead. Supplies needed: sewing machine with zipper foot, thread, seam ripper, and a practice item to work on. We have a couple extra machines that may be borrowed.  Spare machines are available on a first-come basis. Please note if you need to borrow one when signing up. * This class is appropriate for persons who have a sewing machine and/or basic knowledge of how to use one. *
