Step into the heart of Romanian winter traditions at the Romanian American Cultural Center with a cozy and evocative exhibit celebrating the rich heritage of Romanian caroling. This seasonal showcase invites visitors to explore the deep cultural roots, spiritual symbolism, and communal joy woven into the practice of colindat—Romania’s beloved caroling tradition. Through music, traditional costumes and artifacts the exhibit traces how caroling has served as a vessel for storytelling, resistance, and renewal across generations. Discover how villagers once traveled from house to house, singing blessings and tales of hope, and how these customs continue to echo in Romanian communities today. Whether you’re familiar with Romanian culture or discovering it for the first time, join the Heritage Organization of Romanian Americans in Minnesota (HORA) and experience how music warms the soul and connects us across time and distance. Admission is free and open to the public, stop by Room 319 at Landmark Center at any time between 1 and 3 pm. Come listen, learn, and let the voices of winter carry you into the spirit of the season.

Members of the Minnesota Boychoir return for their annual Winter Concert at 1pm. Due to the World Junior Championship Games in downtown St. Paul on the evening of January 4, there will be only one concert at Landmark Center. Minnesota Boychoir has four core ensembles and several outreach programs and includes over 120 singers ages 6-18, from more than forty communities throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The choir’s vast repertoire includes challenging sacred, classical, secular, folk and contemporary choral music sung in more than 30 languages and dialects. Each season they perform up to 30 concerts in churches, hospitals, schools, retirement homes and convert venues across the globe. Sundays at Landmark series is supported by Ecolab, Hubbard Broadcasting, Travelers, Xcel Energy Foundation, and Ramsey County.
