Join art educator Karen Chan for guided step-by-step instructions throughout the process of using acrylic paints to create beautiful works of art. In May, Karen will lead participants through the process of painting with acrylics with a purple/pink mums in a vase as the subject matter. All levels are welcome. Registration required. Limit 25 participants. This program is funded with money from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Share stories, songs, rhymes, and engage in play with your baby at this storytime designed for the youngest learner. For ages 6-23 months and their caregiver. Main lobby doors will open at 9:30 a.m., storytime starts at 9:45 and runs approximately 20 minutes. Attendance is first come, first served with a limit of 15 babies and their caregivers. Open play for all babies until 11 a.m. after storytime ends.

Drop in to use or ask questions about the library’s Maker equipment. Use the library's laptops to design a 3D model, digitize your physical media, or utilize the photo and video editing software. Create your own stickers, cards or other cardstock cutouts with the Silhouette Cameo electronic cutting machine. Try the sewing machine or ask questions about the 3D printer. Limited amounts of materials are available to learn how to use the equipment. Please bring your own flash drive for permanent storage. Maker equipment is available through a combination of reservations and first-come, first-served. To reserve time with the digitization equipment or sewing machine, call 651-724-6100.
