Create your own stickers, cards or other cardstock cutouts with the Silhouette Cameo electronic cutting machine. Try the sewing machine or ask questions about the 3D printer. Limited amounts of materials are available to learn how to use the equipment. Please bring your own flash drive for permanent storage. Work on your reading skills in a low-stress environment with Riley or Trevor! Our licensed therapy dogs welcome  school-age readers to participate in this special program! This program is intended for children who have beginning reading skills, but need that extra practice reading aloud in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Books will be available the day of to read from in varying reading levels, or feel free to bring your own.  Appropriate for ages 5-9. Give your favorite items of clothing a second life! Learn how to repair clothing using basic mending skills, and how to determine what mending techniques are most suitable for a repair. This class will include a short lecture-style introduction to mending followed by a hands-on guided practice activity. Feel free to bring one or two items you would like to mend, and if time allows, the class will discuss the best approaches for your items. Please note that there may not be time to discuss every item. All skill levels are welcome! Registration required. Space is limited to 12 participants. Skills covered in this workshop will include: Basic sewing and mending terminology Evaluating a project to determine best techniques and materials Approaches for mending projects such as: rips, holes, stains, snags, and more Hand sewing stitches and their applications, including: running stitch, basting stitch, back stitch, whip stitch, blanket stitch, and mattress stitch Basic darning Basic patching techniques (internal and external) Visible mending techniques, including applique and Sashiko mending

The Keystone Community Services Foodmobile will be distributing free groceries in the north parking lot at the Ramsey County Library in Roseville on the THIRD Monday of every month from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. This service is available to anyone in need. Participants will receive shelf stable items, produce, milk, meat, and other staples. Please note that the Foodmobile is a Keystone food shelf and thus participants can only access services once a month. New participants to Keystone should be prepared to fill out a short intake form on your first visit.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own shopping bags. Jigsaw Puzzle Swap and Casual Community Puzzle Time Have you finished a jigsaw puzzle and are ready for a new one? It’s time to pick up the pieces! Bring your gently used, complete (no missing pieces!) jigsaw puzzles to swap with other puzzlers to get new-to-you puzzles. This is your chance to swap for a puzzle of similar quality, brand, or piece count. After you swap, stick around for casual community puzzle time! We will have some tables set up for puzzling as well. Meet new people or use the space to puzzle with your friends or family for an afternoon.  Bringing something to swap? Jigsaw Puzzles should be new or like-new, include all pieces, not stained or damaged, and in the original box. Please tape shut the puzzle box or put your puzzle pieces into a Ziplock bag so as not to lose any pieces. This is an "Honor system" swap (we are not keeping track of what you bring.) Give what you can and take what you love.
