Welcome 2026 with intention, yoga, and art. Join us for an engaging Hatha Yoga practice, where you’ll be guided to set intentions or “Sankalpa” in Sanskrit. This grounding practice creates space in your mind and body, supporting your practice to stay strong throughout the months to come and helping you remain focused and present beyond the mat. Beginning the new year with mindfulness offers a powerful foundation, and combining yoga and art creates a unique experience that nourishes creativity, reflection, and wellbeing. Museum Guide and yoga instructor Ramaa Bhasin will lead a small group in the tranquil TMORA galleries. Your ticket includes a 45-minute yoga class and admission to the museum afterward. Please bring your own mat, wear comfortable clothing you can move in, and be prepared to remove your shoes. Feel free to bring a block, blanket, and/or towel (in addition to your mat) if these items serve your practice. Register in advance. The practice will be gentle and modifications offered however, we do recommend this class for those with prior yoga experience. Contact [email protected] with any questions. Yoga in the Gallery: Saturday, January 10, 9:00 a.m. Doors open at 8:45. Please arrive before 9 AM to ensure we can begin our practice promptly at 9. Doors will be locked once practice begins. REGISTERAbout the instructor, Ramaa Bhasin:Ramaa’s fascination with yoga and meditation started with her grandparents’ teachings of yoga, chanting, healing practices, and stories. Most of all, her interest piqued with the ancient Indian oral traditions of storytelling, tales of mythology, divine heroic deeds, and courage. Ramaa has years of classical yoga training from reputable studios in California (Yoga Shakti, 500 hours) and Kansas (Darling Yoga, 200 hours). Her classes are creatively sequenced, tying in Indian philosophy, mythology, tales of wonder, mudras, and meditation to instill peace.
