The Library Board meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Digital and phone-in options may be available. Please contact the library for details on participating remotely. Regular and special meetings of the Marshall-Lyon County Library Board are open to the public and to public comment, as set out in the Public Comment policy. The library board is governed by the board By-Laws and Code of Conduct. The board does not meet in August. Weather or holidays may cause the meeting to be rescheduled or cancelled.

Teen Tabletop Gaming will be meeting virtually and in the community room! Attend whichever way is most convenient for you. In nice weather, we might also head outside to the courtyard. For those joining us online: we use Discord, a free voice and chat service that lets you create private servers. You can use it right in your browser without installing anything. You can also install it on a computer or use the app on a tablet or smartphone. You will need to sign up for an account with a valid email address before you can use it. The chat server will be moderated by a librarian. Parents, you can learn more about discord here. Please email Emilirose ([email protected]) or contact LibrarianEmilirose on Discord for a link to the server. We usually play the 5th edition (2014 rules) of Dungeons & Dragons, but we also play other TTRPGs like Daggerheart, Kids on Bikes, or Crash Pandas. We also spend a lot of time chatting, collaborating on video games, and getting our characters ready.  The online voice chat will be available at around 3:20 pm. We start playing when enough players have arrived, and we’ll be done by around 6 pm. It’s okay if you have to leave early. Adult players: this event is specifically for teens and preteens. Palermo from Frank Capra’s 1946 film. It’s A Wonderful Life is based on the story “The Greatest Gift” by Philip Van Doren Stern. This performance will include live sound effects. Admission is a $5 donation benefiting MASC and the Marshall Lyon-County Library. A recording will play over KMHL Marshall Radio at a later date.
