The American Red Cross will be at Park Grove Library for a Blood Drive on Dec. 16 from 10:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interested participants can reserve a donation time online at RedCross.org, call 1-800-RED-CROSS, or schedule through the Red Cross Blood Donor App.

Join us in singing, talking, reading, writing, and playing at this inclusive, welcoming storytime for families at Park Grove Library starting at 10:30 a.m. This storytime focuses on concepts such as life skills, emotions, community, family, and kindness. Storytime is your opportunity to meet new friends and strengthen early literacy skills. Activities during and after storytime are designed to strengthen fine and large motor skills. Grown-ups are expected to actively participate alongside the children they bring (modeling is one of the best ways to influence behavior). Please limit discussion between grown-ups until storytime has finished. Art Cart immediately follows storytime (around 11:00 a.m.). Children will make art with help from their grown-up. Crafts are focused on fine motor development for children developmental ages 2-5 . Registration is not required.We will meet in the children's area. This storytime is recommended for developmental ages birth to 8 and their grown-ups!

Children ages 9-12 are welcome to join us for Contraption Club at Park Grove Library. Participants will learn how to use a variety of technologies including 3D printers, a Glowforge laser cutter, a Cricut machine, an embroidery machine, TinkerCad, AdaFruit, and much more. No prior experience is required, librarians are on hand to assist you with the project of the day or free exploration. Limit to 9 participants at a time. If over 9 participants, the class will rotate participants every 45 minutes. No registration is required. This class is on a first-come basis.

Do you have questions about Medicare, Supplement/Medigap, and Advantage plans? Come to Park Grove Library and meet with a Trellis volunteer for Medicare Counseling. This is a service for those who currently have Medicare, are new to Medicare, or are planning for the future. At no cost, we provide unbiased information about the different parts of Medicare, your options, and ways to potentially lower your Medicare costs. Interpreters are also available upon request.Appointments are 60 minutes long and take place at 12 p.m., 1:15 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Registration is required and opens one month before the appointment times.
