The free concert will take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Harbor Springs.    Windover’s 4-Hand Piano Duo features Michigan concert pianists Ellen Kendall and Susan Wheatley performing “popular classics” for one piano 4-hands and specialize in presenting the music of women composers as well as standard repertoire for piano duets and two pianos.    The program will take listeners on a chronological journey through musical periods and styles, from ‘Classical Canons’ to ‘Romantic Soundscapes’ and ‘20th Century Salon & Cabaret’.

The Making of the Petoskey Passenger Pigeon Monument Todd McGrain, Visual Artist and Documentary Filmmaker Join Todd McGrain, sculptor of the new Petoskey Passenger Pigeon Monument, for a special Coffee @ 10 talk. McGrain will share insights into the design and bronze casting process behind the monument, as well as the inspiration that shaped this meaningful public work. Throughout his career, McGrain has embraced art as a powerful form of public engagement—one that can shift perspectives and deepen our understanding of the world around us. Working across sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, and film, he weaves together visual art and storytelling to explore humanity’s impact on the environment and the creatures we share it with. McGrain is widely recognized for his ongoing Lost Bird Project, through which he has created permanent public memorials honoring bird species driven to extinction, raising awareness and inspiring reflection through art. This talk is included in a weeklong celebration of The Great Petoskey Passenger Pigeon Nesting of 1878. Navigating Perimenopause and More Brain fog? Anxiety? Is it stress, or is it perimenopause? Women in their mid-30’s and early 40’s may be feeling a bit in the dark as you approach this next chapter and wonder what the menopause journey looks like. Two women’s health experts Dr. Kendra Johnson of Bay View Obstetrics and Gynecology and Dr. Gustav Lo of RegenCen will be joining us to discuss the symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause which are so much more than hot flashes. In addition, with the recent FDA updated guidance on hormone therapy, they will also discuss effective treatments out there that can help you move through what can be a challenging transition.   The luncheon takes place at Courtyard by Marriott Petoskey at Victories Square, 1866 Mkwa Place, Petoskey. Registration and networking are 11:30 a.m. to noon. The lunch buffet will begin at noon. Join the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce for our May Business After Hours on Thursday, May 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at City Park Grill.   This month’s theme is Spring into Summer, and we would like you to wear your summer best. Don Hawaiian shirts, floral prints, tees, sunglasses, and anything else you need to get you ready for the busy summer season. Let's celebrate summer before summer!
