We will also come to learn how to recognize chemical henna and understand its dangers, as we come to understand why making fresh, natural henna is critical to public safety.  All patrons will receive a link to a video helping them to check for dye release and get the paste into cones when they are ready the following day. From choosing between the SAT and ACT to understanding test-optional admissions policies, this class will identify and unpack the major issues relating to testing so that you can help develop a smart, effective, and informed plan for your student. Attendees will gain an understanding of the differences between the SAT and ACT, the keys to building a testing timeline, the changing role of tests in college admissions, and the essential components of impactful preparation. The Goodnow cookbook club is back! The revamped Goodnow Grub Club will meet on the 2nd Friday of every month at noon.  Each month a cookbook is selected and will be listed with the author's website for additional recipe ideas. Members will cook one recipe from the selected cookbook, or from another cookbook published by the same author, and will bring the food to Goodnow Library to enjoy as a club. All members will discuss what it was like cooking the recipes, what they learned, and bond over great food and company!  For the meeting on February 13, we will be using What Goes With What? by Julia Turshen.  From bestselling cookbook author Julia Turshen comes an original, inspired, and interactive approach to cooking that takes the guesswork out of everyday meals.
