Artist Reception on December 12 at 5:00 pm Sarah Mack is an artist, graphic designer, author, and illustrator. Her artworkexplores the natural world, with a particular connection to animals. Sarahdeveloped a love for the arts as a young child painting alongside her grandmother.She later trained as both an artist and a graphic designer at Boston College.She paints with a particular emphasis on composition, color, and the character ofher subjects while working in a variety of mediums. She hopes her artwork willmake viewers take a pause and reconnect with the living world around them.Ranging from realistic oil paintings to whimsical watercolors, she tries to capturethe quiet personality found in every creature she paints. This love of storytellingthrough image extends to her writing as well. Sarah is the author and illustrator oftwo children’s books, Finding Home and Pickle, Pork, Frog, Dog, both of which arecurrently being adapted into a children’s musical.

The Stockbridge Writers will meet on Zoom every Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  This program is free and open to the public.  All writing levels are welcome. Led by Stockbridge resident Ramelle Pulitzer, MEd., she looks forward to coordinating and leading a group of writers ready to explore writing practice as a way to improve and enjoy expressing oneself.
