Free your laughter with Robert Rivest! Laughter yoga is a fun, effective way to exercise and socialize while receiving the mind-body health benefits of laughing. Laughter yoga was created in 1995, when a medical doctor, Dr. Madan Kataria, first combined breathing exercises from yoga with improvised laughter exercises. Laughter Yoga has turned into an international health movement that has quickly traveled around the world. Robert Rivest is the creator and founder of Wellbeing Laughter and The Rivest Method of Joyful Living. He is an internationally admired performer, teacher, and public speaker. Robert is a talented mindfulness & stress relief educator, an engaging corporate wellness presenter, a comic mime artist and a gifted laughter yoga master trainer. Since 1990 Robert Rivest has given over 8,000 presentations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and across the United States. His mission is to use mindfulness, laughter, and the performing arts to bring greater health, happiness, and joy to individuals and organizations around the world. What a winter! It’s been a while since we’ve had such a cold, snowy winter but I have some good news for you! Due to this winter’s extended snowpack, Radiant Leaf has decided to run a limited number of Saturday morning pruning lessons March 21 – May 2. The snow is melting away, so let’s sharpen those pruners, gear up, and complete that critical dormant pruning. Both Beginner Home Pruning Lessons and Co-pruning Sessions are a solid 2-hours in length – plenty of time to address your pruning punch list. Join us for a Boston Marathon themed storytime with Kate Duncan, who is running the marathon to raise funds for the Natick Center Cultural District. Attendance is free, but all proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to Kate’s fundraiser. Kate will be reading, “Girl Running,” by Annette Bay Pimentel. The inspiring story of the first female to run the Boston Marathon. On her reason for running the marathon, Kate shared, “I grew up in Natick and truly love this town. I’ve always tried to use my passion for running as a way to support and give back to our community. As a mom of three, I see every day how much my children benefit from the art installations, cultural events, and town-supported programs that make Natick so special. That’s why supporting the Cultural District matters so much to me—it brings our town closer together and makes Natick an incredible place to grow up.
