BRIAN  GLOWACKI  As well as headlining major rooms around the country including Las Vegas, Glowacki has played the Wilbur Theatre in Boston, has performed on the Funny or Die “Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival.” He received “Best of Fest” honors at Burbank Comedy Festival, Big Pine Comedy Festival and San Diego Comedy Festival. Dates: MONDAY, 2/16 – FRIDAY, 2/20 (Openings still available on Monday, Thursday and Friday) Times: 9:00-1:00 with extended day option until 3:00 Place: 3 Adams Street, Natick Center Ages: 8 – 15 Cost: $110.00/day $35.00 for extended day option until 3:00 Ginger and Helen will be offering both a sewing and an art project each day, with a break around 11:00, so please bring a water bottle and snack for the morning sessions.If staying until 3:00, we will be taking a break at 1:00 for lunch, so please pack a lunch for the full day. We will be able to take up to 12 kids per day, so PLEASE sign up early. These classes do fill up fast. The morning session is a structured time for each child to complete both a sewing project and an art project in a small group of up to 6 kids.The afternoon session until 3:00 is more loosely structured, allowing the kids to work on a project of their choice with the guidance of Ginger and myself.These workshops offer the opportunity to learn new art skills and hone sewing skills using the sewing machine, while inspiring creativity and confidence in each child. If your child has not had any sewing experience using the sewing machine, or would like a REFRESHER lesson, I will be offering a mini 1-hour class the week prior to our workshops that Friday, February 13 after school at 3:30-4:30 for just $25.00. Duke Robillard is a celebrated American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and bandleader known for his mastery of blues, jump R&B, swing, and roots rock. His early influences included rock pioneers like Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly, which he discovered through his older brother’s record collection. Inspired by these sounds, he crafted his first guitar with his father, modeled after James Burton’s Fender Telecaster. In 1967, Robillard co-founded Roomful of Blues with pianist Al Copley in Westerly, Rhode Island. The band became a regional sensation, known for its jump blues style, and released two albums on Rounder Records. Throughout his career, Robillard has received numerous accolades, including multiple W.C. Handy Awards for Best Blues Guitarist and Grammy nominations for Best Traditional Blues Album. His work spans various styles, from traditional blues to jazz and swing, earning him a reputation as a “guitarist’s guitarist” and a prolific producer. Robillard’s discography includes collaborations with notable musicians and a range of albums that highlight his ability to blend traditionalism with innovation. Ellis Paul doesn’t just write songs he’s a guitar-carrying reporter who covers the human condition and details the hopes, loves, losses of those he observes, turning their stories into luminous pieces of music that get under your skin and into your bloodstream. And much like the artists who have influenced him, everyone from Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to the singer-songwriter who is undoubtedly his greatest inspiration, Woody Guthrie, Paul weaves deeply personal experiences with social issues and renders them as provocative works that are as timely as they are timeless. Born and raised in Maine, Paul attended Boston College on a track scholarship and in the evenings became a fixture on the city’s open mic circuit. After winning a Boston Acoustic Underground songwriter competition, he caught the ear of folk luminary Bill Morrissey, who produced his indie album Say Something in 1993. This led to a seven album contract with Rounder Records and the 1994 album, Stories. His songs have appeared in several blockbuster films (Me, Myself, and Irene Shallow Hal, Hall Pass) and have been covered by award winning country artists (Sugarland, Kristian Bush, Jack Ingram). Through a steady succession of albums of his own – a remarkable 23 releases so far – and a constant touring presence around the world, Paul’s audience has grown into a loyal legion of fans. Along the way, he has picked up an impressive number of awards including the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Award, 15 Boston Music Awards, An Honorary Doctorate from the University of Maine, the 2019 International Acoustic Music Awards Artist of the Year and most recently his album, The Storyteller’s Suitcase, was named the 2019 NERFA Album of the Year.
