Celebrate the holiday season by joining the Library staff for a fun wreath decorating event. Open to everyone. We'll provide everything you need to decorate—you just need to provide the artistic inspiration. This event is free but does require registration. Only register one person under total number of attendees, and then answer the questions provided (please limit to 6 total family members or less). We'll provide you with an artificial wreath, a bow, lights, and lots of decorations to make your own holiday wreath. We'll give you instructions on how to make the best presentation of your wreath. Hot glue and ties will be provided. Reserve your choice of wreath style: Rustic Woodland (pine cones, berries, flowers & animal ornaments) - red, black & white themed Holiday Sweets & Treats (gingerbread, candy cane, peppermint ornaments, with flowers, and ball ornaments) - red, green & gold themed Snowy Season (snow people, snowflakes, berries, flowers & more) - white & silver themed If you have your own wreath, but just want some new decorations, we can do that, too! NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING Organization: Pollard Memorial Library Board of Trustees Location: Pollard Memorial Library 401 Merrimack St. Lowell, MA 01852 Ground Floor Meeting Room and via Zoom On March 29, 2023, Governor Healey signed into law a supplemental budget bill which, among other things, extends the temporary provisions pertaining to the Open Meeting Law to March 31, 2025. Specifically, this further extension allows public bodies to continue holding meetings remotely without a quorum of the public body physically present at a meeting location, and to provide "adequate, alternative" access to remote meetings. The language does not make any substantive changes to the Open Meeting Law other than extending the expiration date of the temporary provisions regarding remote meetings from March 31, 2023 to March 31, 2025. Members of the public wishing to attend the meeting and/or speak regarding a specific agenda item should email the Library Director at [email protected] indicating your name and on which agenda item(s) you would like to speak. Since the meeting is hybrid, you may attend in-person in the Ground Floor Meeting Room at the Library or online. This is a virtual program. Please register using the link below in order to receive Zoom information. For ages 3 weeks to pre-crawlers and their grownups (approximate age range is 0-8/9 months) Baby Yoga is a class-focused on gentle movement and developmentally-safe yoga poses for the babies! The parent assists the baby into easy folds and simple stretches timed with sweet songs and rhymes. The parent does little to no physical yoga themselves as these poses are solely focused on supporting the baby's growing body. Modifications and instruction are provided for a baby's particular developmental stage during the class to ensure that every sweet pea is practicing the poses designed just for that age and stage. Parents are encouraged to take breaks as needed during the class to nurse, feed, or change a diaper. Please register by clicking HERE.
