Babies up to 15 months (actual or developmentally) and older siblings are welcome. The first Wednesday of the month will feature a craft for you to keep! April Pitroff Varellas, IBCLC, PMH-C from Berkshire Nursing Families will join us every third Wednesday of the month to answer your baby feeding questions. Group Leaders: Sara Jarvie is an early childhood development specialist. Stephanie Storie is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula. We are thrilled to continue our popular Tech Help program this summer with volunteer Dr. Sandra Markus. This service is free and available on a first-come first-served basis. Please remember to bring any necessary devices, passwords, and charging cables to the appointment.  Sandra Markus is a Professor in the Fashion Design department at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where she has taught for over 25 years. She holds a doctorate in technology from Columbia University. During the summer she hosts sewing retreats @inthecompanyofmakers in Massachusetts for makers of all ages.

Pick up a folder for Summer Reading and receive: Your first tracker sheetGiveaway prizesEvents calendar and flyersA ticket for one FREE Hawaiian ice from Kona Ice (their truck will be parked behind the Library from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.)A craft to add to our “Garden of Good Intentions”Can’t make the kickoff? No problem! Pick up a folder any time after this event during regular Library hours.  How Summer Reading works: Use a tracker sheet to record how much you read.*Color in one bubble on your tracker sheet for every 10 minutes that you read or someone reads to you. Read printed books (including graphic novels!) or ebooks, or listen to audiobooks or playaways. They all count!When you fill up a tracker sheet, bring it back to Lenox Library to receive a free book and one “Chance to Win” ticket. (You’ll place your “Chance to Win” ticket into the container for the prize you would like to try to win). You also will get another tracker sheet.The first tracker sheet you turn in also earns you an ice cream gift card!After the End of Summer Reading Party, we will pull one ticket from each container and award that prize to a lucky winner. (Limit one prize per child).*Summer Reading Challenge: Help us reach our goal of 600 completed tracker sheets! We’re kicking off our first ever Summer Reading Program for Adults!  Adults ages 18+ can stop by any time on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 to sign up for our new Adult Summer Reading Program and pick up a packet containing their first tracker sheet, a list of summer programs, and descriptions of end-of-summer raffle bundles.  Treat yourself to some Hawaiian ice from Kona Ice from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Stop by between 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. for our evening craft making embroidery bookmarks (and earn your first raffle ticket by attending)!  Please register by emailing [email protected]. Can’t stay for the craft? Don’t sweat it! We’ll have take-and-make bags so you can craft at home. If you can’t make it on kickoff day, stop by anytime after this event during regular Library hours to pick up a summer reading packet.
