We are thrilled to continue our popular Tech Help program with volunteer Jeff Doughty. Jeff will meet one-on-one with patrons who need technology assistance, including: Smart phone and computer basicsEmail and messagingZoom and FaceTimeSocial media, including Facebook and InstagramConducting Internet searchesDownloading and saving informationUsing library resources, including Libby and KanopyPlease call the Library at 413-637-0197 to reserve a ½ hour appointment. Please bring any necessary devices, passwords, and charging cables. This service is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Jeff Doughty had a long career as a software engineer, most recently with Apple and Nvidia. Jeff is now retired and resides in Lenox with his wife Carol and two Chihuahuas. He has a B.S. from Virginia Tech and a M.S. from Stanford University, both in Computer Science. Jeff has returned to college at BCC to study art and music history.

Please join the Lenox Library, Lenox Community Center, and Elizabeth Freeman Center for a family-friendly RISE Together Lenox on Thursday, September 24, 2026! 4:30-5:30: Make crafts and signs for the walk, and enjoy music by the Eagles Trombone Ensemble at the Library5:30: Walk begins in the Libraryâs Roche Reading Park6:00: Walk ends at the Community Center, followed by a community supper grilled up by Lenox Fire Company!Every hour of every day, Elizabeth Freeman Center provides life-saving, life-renewing help to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families.  At Lenox Library, we adhere to the American Library Associationâs Code of Ethics, which âaffirm[s] the inherent dignity and rights of every person. Lenox Library is excited to offer a low key and judgement-free group for all families. Join us for songs and bounces followed by play and chatting. Free baby weight checks available. Babies up to 15 months (actual or developmentally) and older siblings are welcome. The first Wednesday of the month will feature a craft for you to keep! April Pitroff Varellas, IBCLC, PMH-C from Berkshire Nursing Families will join us every third Wednesday of the month to answer your baby feeding questions. Group Leaders: Sara Jarvie is an early childhood development specialist. Stephanie Storie is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula. Elm Court, Tanglewood, Shadow BrookâŚto which town do they belong? Lenox or Stockbridge? Assessors maps tell one story. Contemporary guide books, including The Book of Berkshire by Clark W. Bryan, tell another. Local History Librarian Amy Lafave will present âAn Accident of Border,â using published works on the cottages, newspaper articles, and other material to give historical context to this challenging question. An accompanying Welles Galley exhibit will feature nine cottages from the book Lenox, a photo album containing â48 views of the finest houses and choicest scenery in Lenoxâ published by photographer Edward A. Morley in 1886.
