Please join us in helping our community by participating in our food drive running Monday December 8 through Sunday December 14 for the People to People Food Pantry in Danvers. The library will be collecting the following items as listed below by the need of the food pantry for the community : FOOD ITEMS NEEDED: Low Fat, low sodium or low sugar food items Canned vegetables and beans (no sodium) Whole wheat or vegetable pasta Pasta sauce in unbreakable jar/can Peanut Butter Boxed whole grain crackers Whole grain, lower sugar cereal Boxed granola & cereal bars Unsweetened applesauce cups Canned tuna in water Canned chicken, vegetables & bean soup (low sodium) Kids' cereal Kid's snacks Drop off times will be when the library is opened: Monday through Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday and Saturday: 9am-5pm and Sunday: 1-5pm which will be held in the Standring Room to place food donations in there. Pop Up Art School is back and making Felted Yeti Keychains this December. Teens ages 13-18 can register to make one of these cute yeti felt keychains on Monday December 15th at 3:30pm. Perfect for a holiday gift!  In this fun class, you’ll learn the basics of needle felting as you transform soft, loose wool fibers into a charming yeti keychain. Pop-up Art School will guide you step-by-step through shaping and assembling your yeti, then adding personality with details like a tiny face, horns, and a curly tuft of hair on top. Graphic Novel Book Club for ages 8 - 11. Read the book first, then meet with us to discuss the book & do an activity on Monday, Nov. 17th. If you are unemployed and actively looking, underemployed, seeking a new career direction, re-entering the job market after a long employment gap, or recently retired and looking for your "Encore Career," this networking group program is perfect for you!
