Start your summer with A Different Drummer Craft Fair this weekend at Drummer Boy Park in Brewster. Freshen up your home with new handcrafted goods from over 35 of Cape Cod and New England’s professional craftspeople and artists as you will see a wide variety of useful and decorative crafts. You will find unique handcrafted items for yourself or a gift all occasions this Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm at the craft fair by the historic windmill at Drummer Boy park The craft fair is Saturday and Sunday, June 13 and 14 at Drummer Boy Park, 773 Old Kings Highway on Route 6A in Brewster. Hours 10 to 4, rain or shine, A Different Drummer Craft Fair will be there.

The Cape Cod Genealogical Society holds its monthly meetings in the auditorium at Brewster Ladies' Library. The Society meets on the third Tuesday of the month (excepting July and November) and they feature presentations by professionals, and by their members on topics of interest to amateur genealogists. The meetings are hybrid, meaning you can attend via Zoom or in-person. The Society welcomes non members. You can walk-in, or if you want to join the Zoom component of the meeting request a registration link by email to [email protected]. All are welcome to join the Town of Brewster for music, food, and activities at Drummer Boy Park for a celebration of Juneteenth. Enjoy a fun day of talented performers, interesting activities, educational entertainment, and more, all in honor of Juneteenth.  Stay for the whole event or stop by for a quick visit!     Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in America and occurs on the anniversary of the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas on June 19, 1865, more than 2 years after the signing of the proclamation.   Kick off the festival at the Drummer Boy Park gazebo for a re-enactment and reading of the Emancipation Proclamation.  Afterwards, you may choose to remain at the gazebo for a series of musical performers or you can explore the park and take part in some of the other activities happening throughout the event.
