It helps the body and mind work together. Music also helps with fine motor skills. Children who are exposed to music during early development are helped to learn the sounds and meanings of words. What owls live in your neighborhood? Join Maura Genova, the Lead Education Coordinator at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary, as she explores the world of owls. Learn about the seven owl species that can be found in Massachusetts, their adaptations, and behaviors, and how to identify them by sight and sound.  You'll learn owls’ significance in local habitats, conservation efforts to protect them, and the best times, locations, and methods for identifying owls. Maura Genova is an Adult Educator and Camp Director at Mass Audubon’s Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. A passionate educator and naturalist with over 10 years of teaching experience, Maura leads and coordinates adult bird walks, paddles on the Ipswich River, and other natural history programs on topics including vernal pools and mammals.
