Learn to extend the life of your clothes by simple mending techniques with Deepika Prakash, founder of PatternReview.com - an online sewing community. Deepika's mission is to empower her community by teaching valuable sewing skills that contribute to sustainable practices. ------------------ Sew a Simple Holiday Stocking! đ Get into the festive spirit with Decemberâs Repair & Renew Workshop, where youâll learn how to sew your very own holiday stocking! This fun, beginner-friendly project will help you sharpen your sewing skills while creating something beautiful and practical for the season. In this hands-on class, youâll learn how to sew straight and curved seams, line your stocking, and finish it neatlyâall on your sewing machine. Youâll go home with a completed stocking and a reusable pattern so you can make more for friends and family. Itâs a great way to upcycle old shirts or sheets into thoughtful handmade gifts ⨠Important Note: This workshop assumes you already know how to use your sewing machine. Registered attendees who arrive to a program 10 minutes after the scheduled start time will forfeit their spot and it will be treated as an absence. The Library has to take this action due to the high cost of programs, existing waitlists, and empty seats reserved for absent registrants.
