Each week we'll try out a new art or craft project and learn about how it relates to science, history, math, or just plain fun! These activities will involve scissors, paint, glue, and other messy elements. Make sure to come dressed for mess. Thank you to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring this program! Note: This session is for kids who are already in Kindergarten or older. Our craft session for younger kids (2-5 years old) is on Thursdays and can be found on the Event Calendar. The First Wednesday Book Club meets on the first Wednesday evening of each month (with occasional calendar changes to accommodate holidays) at 6:30 PM. Now in our fourth year, the club reads both fiction and non-fiction books across a variety of genres with selections chosen via voting by members. Meetings are semi-structured discussions of the book and there is typically a themed snack provided by club leader, Jen. Membership in the club is currently full with future openings hard to predict. Patrons can express interest in joining by filling out the Book Club Interest Form, though this does not guarantee membership. Anyone can follow along with us by checking out our Book Club @ Large display, located in the library on an aisle end cap in our Adult Fiction area. The display includes a book list of past and present selections, copies of books from our list for you to check out, reviews of the book we just discussed, and recipes you can take home for the themed snacks! This is the largest portion of the project where the Library is addressing our need for small meeting spaces, requiring furniture and shelving rearrangement within the current floor plan as outlined in our prior announcements. Due to the movement of furniture and shelves, the installation of the pods, and delivery of new furniture for the YA space, the Library will be closed on the following dates: Thursday, January 8, 2026 Saturday, January 10, 2026 Monday, January 12, 2026 Tuesday, January 13, 2026 For full details and to see a layout of the updated floor plan, visit the Libraryâs Rearrangement Project webpage.
