BID ON YOUR FAVORITES HERE  28th Annual Festival of Wreaths – Opens Today! Daily November 28 – December 7, 2025 Help fulfill your holiday list, enjoy some holiday cheer and help to support arts programming in Carroll County! 2025 marks the 28th year of this fun and festive event which is one of the most anticipated holiday events of the season in Carroll County. One of only two fundraisers that benefit the Carroll County Arts Council, Festival of Wreaths is a holiday wonderland of creativity and generosity! The Festival of Wreaths features uniquely themed wreaths, and holiday art pieces, that range from nostalgic, to traditional to whimsical, wacky and wonderful. All wreaths are available for purchase through online auction. Many entries include gift cards, specialty food and beverages items, and unique experiences! While wreaths are sold only through online auction, we invite the community to visit our historic Carroll Arts Center to experience the magic and joy of the holiday season by viewing the full display of entries in our beautifully decorated space! In-person visitors can also vote for the Top 10 Audience Choice winners. Voting closes on Saturday, December 7th at 7pm. Kids can also get in on the fun with Festival of Wreaths bingo! Visiting the Carroll Arts Center is FREE and open to the public. Stop by to feel the joy of the season!

Common Ground DowntownA Special Holiday Program Full of Great Music & Nostalgia! Join Walt Michael and Company and special guests in their annual holiday concert, featuring seasonal string band music from Scotland, Ireland, New England and Southern Appalachia. Fiddles, guitars, mandolins, banjos, hammered dulcimer and four-part harmonies to ring in your holidays! This festive performance represents the Southern Appalachian tradition of “Breaking Up Christmas.”  A century ago, people in the Southern Appalachian mountains celebrated Christmas over two weeks, with informal house parties filled with old-time fiddle music, song, dance, and story. The traditional folk music of Scotland, Ireland, England, and Africa made their way into remote mountain hollers, later emerging as an integrated American musical genre that continues to evolve. In this great oral tradition, songs and tunes are evaluated and winnowed by time. Memorable melodies and lyrics withstanding this test of time take their place among the venerable repertoire. You get a fabulously festive show featuring the renowned Eric Byrd Trio! This annual presentation is always very popular with families as well as discriminating jazz aficionados and is a great way to celebrate the season. Members receive a 10% discount on tickets. A Charlie Brown Christmas | 1965 | 25m | TV-GSaddened at the commercialism he sees around him, Charlie Brown tries to find a deeper meaning to Christmas. A 45-min concert performed by Eric Byrd Trio will follow the screening! Two performances:Sunday, December 7 at 3pm and 6pm Eric Byrd Trio They are winners of The Maryland State Arts Council $10k Independent Artist Award (IAA) for notable artistic achievement.  Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan bestowed a prestigious Governor’s Citation upon the Trio, “in recognition and celebration of 20 years delighting audiences across the globe.”Their last recording “Twenty” won the 2022 Washington Area Music Award (Wammy) Jazz Recording of the Year.  And they are apart of the prestigious Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster .  For over twenty years, The Eric Byrd Trio (EBT) have traveled the world as enthusiastic ambassadors of jazz. Rooted in swing and bebop, The Trio also embraces gospel and the blues as core elements of their expansive performance style. Their body of work spans seven unique studio and live recordings on which they shine as a Trio and as collaborators with an expanded 8-piece ensemble they call The Eric Byrd Trio: Brother Ray Band, in tribute to The Genius of Soul icon Ray Charles. On each recording, they take a rigorous, modern approach to standards as well as original compositions, playing with great acuity within the broad and rich jazz tradition. They also belong to the Maryland Performing Artist Touring Roster which is a listing of Maryland-based performing artists who are experienced, organized and professional. Artists who are appointed to the Touring Roster have been selected through a peer review process in which they are rated on artistic merit and on a demonstrated history of successful touring engagements. The Together in the Arts Series was designed to make the arts more accessible to our community, providing programming during the day, that is interactive, engaging all of our senses that is entertaining and inspiring for people of all ages and abilities. ZamDance is about empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by creating a safe and supportive space where they can explore the art of dance and enhance their physical and emotional well-being. Let’s bring JOY and HAPPINESS through music and dance. “What particularly impressed me about the instructor was not only her obvious zest for bringing dance to our special kids, but the way she identified which kids were not fully understanding or engaging at times, and how she gently but enthusiastically approached them and brought them back into the fold to enhance every child’s participation. She gives individual focus within the overall dance class so every child is attended to, and the moves are so fun and invigorating that many parents found themselves joining in because they simply couldn’t sit still with all the energy in the room!” Whitney Ellenby, Autism Ambassadors Jacqueline Zamora, the founder of ZamDance, resides in Maryland, and for over ten years has worked professionally in a variety of capacities with children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Raised in Brooklyn, New York she developed a passion for dance and exercise. As a dancer and certified aerobics instructor, she has worked at the Bally Fitness Gym and at the Marriott World Trade Center Gym. She trained in Jazz and African dance at the Broadway Dance Center and at the Djoniba Dance Studio in New York City, performed in England with Julie Tolentino’s show entitled, ” Mestiza, What Beautiful Eyes You Have,” and collaborated with French Choreographer, David Rousseve at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Medium Debbie WojciechowskiDuring her interactions with audience members, Debbie draws on her extensive background and experience to deliver sensitive messages in a respectful manner from loved ones who have passed on to the “other side.” Ever since her metaphysical journey began before she was 21 with two near-death experiences and the loss of her parents, Debbie has sought to learn more about her special gift…and to share it with others. Along with her formal certification as a Medium from the Lisa Williams International School of Spiritual Development, she had a successful career as a federal law enforcement officer Debbie also worked for years as a Hospice volunteer, and has extensive experience working with grief and loss. Taneytown Dance Company presents, “The Nutcracker Experience”Designed especially for children, this special dance event offers young audiences the perfect opportunity to get up close with the classical holiday tale of The Nutcracker. “The Nutcracker Experience” begins with a short, 20-minute performance of highlights from the second act of The Nutcracker, featuring dances by the beloved characters: Hot Chocolate, Tea, Candy Canes, the Waltz of the Flowers, and the Sugar Plum Fairy from the “Land of Sweets”.
