About Us
The Rotary Club of Westbrook-Gorham was Chartered on March 8, 1926, part of an International organization chartered to "do good in the world". Westbrook-Gorham Rotary continues to serve our namesake communities in many ways, including: offering annual scholarships and toolships for Westbrook Regional Vocational Center (WRVC) students, supporting Interact service clubs in both WHS and GHS, conducting an annual food drive and donating to local food pantries, volunteering with and supporting MPTC, and supporting international programs like Polio Plus and water projects. Each year, starting on Thanksgiving weekend, we sell Christmas trees in downtown Westbrook to benefit those causes. Our other major fundraiser is our annual golf tournament held in mid- September at Gorham Country Club. We continue our strong connection with the Regional Vocational Center through our meetings in the Culinary Arts Dining Room and the House Project. Since 1956, we have partnered with the WRVC and the City of West brook to fund and sell homes constructed by the students. This provides the opportunity for hands-on, real world experience for the students.
