Theater ProgramFor Kids & Teens (ages 10-15) beginner and intermediateFridays, March 1  – May 24 | 3:30pm – 5:00pm (No class April 19)Skidompha Public Library | Porter Hall | Registration Required During this 12-week course, students will discover new work and learn the fundamentals of performance while developing their own storytelling and performance voice. We will begin by reading and performing scenes from various plays, and then move into creating our own. Students will use a piece of literature from Skidompha’s library collection to devise a personal performance piece. The class culminates with a showcase for the invited family and friends. Skidompha Library invites all those interested in local history, family history, and genealogy to explore The Skidompha History And Genealogy Center, located on the second floor of the library. While the collection focuses on Lincoln County, Maine, we also have material from other areas of Maine, New England, the US, Canada, and other countries.  We have genealogy volunteers available to help with research and genealogy software, cemeteries, Maine Civil War records, the Skidompha Genealogy collection, Ancestry, state, and federal archives, transcriptions, the Maine collection, family stories, deeds and probate research, and scanning, editing, and organizing photographs.  Our volunteers are available on most Thursday afternoons from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. It’s always a good idea to call ahead! 207-887-0919.
