Immunization Clinic USD 383 and the Riley County Health Department will be hosting an immunization clinic for USD 383 students who are missing Kansas required school immunizations on Thursday, August 13 from 5 - 7pm at the Lincoln Education Center, 901 Poyntz Ave. Enter through door 1 and follow the signs. If you are planning to attend, please click the RSVP button in the top left corner. Contact your school nurse if you have questions. If you do not have insurance, there will be a $20.00 administration fee for each vaccine which will be billed to your home address. Children without insurance are eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, in which each vaccine costs $20. However, children will never be denied vaccines for inability to pay. Please do not let cost be a deterrent, as the $20 charge may be eligible for forgiveness. The Health Department has limited funds through a grant to pay the administration fee for uninsured children. Talk to the nurse when getting the immunization. The Riley County Health Department accepts most insurance plans -- BUT does not currently accept the following insurance plans: Ambetter, ChampVA, Cigna, Tricare Prime. Families will be responsible for the full price of the vaccines. We would strongly encourage you to receive missing vaccines from a provider or pharmacy that is contracted with your insurance provider. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card, and ask for information about the nearest provider or pharmacy that can offer the missing immunizations.3.
