To APPLY for the Kansas State Scholarship, you must: 1. Apply online at https://sfa.kansasregents.gov/. The priority application deadline is July 1, 2026. To receive this scholarship, you must create an application and apply online before the priority deadline. 2. Go to https://studentaid.gov/fafsa to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2026-2027 school year. 3. The university or college that you will be attending in the Fall 2026 semester will inform you via award letter during the summer months if you are eligible to receive this scholarship. State Law for the Kansas State Scholarship:Full-time (12 credit hours or more) designated State Scholars who demonstrate financial need and are attending a Kansas university, college or technical school are eligible for funding consideration for up to four years of undergraduate study (five years if enrolled in a designated five-year program). Recipients must maintain a 3.00 cumulative undergraduate GPA, have financial need, and apply for funding each year of college to be considered for the scholarship. If you are not eligible for the scholarship one year from not having enough financial need, you should apply again the following year. Family circumstances, the FAFSA need analysis formula, and/or other aid available to you may change from year to year and affect your eligibility for this scholarship.
