Operation Thank You is the Chamber’s largest volunteer-driven event of the year! This networking event/annual holiday social gathering is scheduled from 4-6PM on Thursday, December 11 at The Music Man Square. During Operation Thank You, Chamber volunteers call on member businesses to say, “Thank You” and deliver a packet containing the new Membership Directory, CMO cards, and other important information. The day concludes with Business After Hours from 4-6PM hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and First Citizens Bank. This year will be celebrated on the streetscape of The Music Man Square with the theme “All Wrapped Up”. Members are invited to celebrate with live music, 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and more!

The annual family event, Holiday Open House, will be on Saturday, December 13, where the MacNider will be filled with children’s activities from 1-4 pm. Young artists will be able to participate in a variety of make-and-take activities throughout the museum. This is a free event and everyone is welcome. Children will have the opportunity to meet with special guest Santa Claus from 1-4 pm. Bring a camera for this special celebrity photo opportunity. Children will also be able to write letters to Santa for special delivery in his mailbox.  Holiday cookies will be available. This event is free, thanks to the sponsorship of First Citizens Power Savers of Kids’ Club events.

Members of the Una Vocis Choral Ensemble have formed the River City Beer Choir and the best news is that you?re all invited to sing with them once a month with a drink in your hand. This fun and casual group will meet every third Monday of the month at Fat Hill Brewing from 7 pm - 8 pm. They?re using the Beer Choir Hymnal, which has various drinking songs and folksy melodies with alternate lyrics. There will be sheet music provided. No need to sign up or register, just show up. Ages 21+. Bring your friends! This is a free event.
