Homeschool hangout is a place for families to come and learn together. Join for this hands on cooking class and prepare Three Sisters Saute using corn, squash, and beans. We will learn about the Iroquois Legend on which this dish is based. Cut down on waste by upcycling plastic containers to make a pot for a plant! Feel free to bring emptied and cleaned yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, or similar plastic containers with lids to avoid throwing them away. You can take home potted plant in your handmade pot! We will talk about other upcycling projects you can do to reduce waste and reuse everyday items like tin cans and plastic bottles by making them into cool, useful objects. Grades 6-12.
