The library is hosting a writing contest! Anyone can submit an original fiction or nonfiction story. A panel of NCPL staff members will select 3 winners based on whether their story is clear; has a beginning, middle, and end; and shows a change in the people or characters in the story. Winners will receive prizes, and the Library will produce a booklet with the winners' pieces available for patrons to read. Sponsored by the New Carlisle-Olive Township Friends of the Library. Please review these submission guidelines before submitting:We will be accepting submissions from March 1 - April 1.Please include your name and email address at the top of the first page.Your piece must have a title.It must not exceed 5,000 words in length.All work must be original. No more than one submission per patron.Please avoid using excessive profanity, sexual content, and gratuitous violence.If you have any questions about the contest, feel free to send an email to questions@ncpl.lib.in.us You can submit in 2 ways:1. Come into the library with a printed copy of your story, ask at the front desk for a Submission Form, fill out and attach the Submission Form to your story, and give it to the staff member at the front desk.OR2.
