Studying for finals can be stressful - we get it. Let us make things just a bit easier for you! Stop by the Adult Reference desk to pick up a Study Boost Care Package filled with some study essentials (and some things just for fun!). Care packages will be available on a first-come-first-served basis starting Monday, Dec. 8th and will remain available until all have been claimed! Caregivers, get ready for some special time to focus on and bond with your little one. The program is geared to pre-walkers ages newborn to 12 months with a caring adult. (Babies older than 12 months who are not yet walking are also welcome!) In April, our ratings will be submitted to the Young Hoosier Book Award Committee.This month, we will be reading, "Table Titans Club" by Scott Kurtz. In this series, taught by Gilda Amarante, you will learn how to build everything from simple accordion booklets to notebooks. In class one, Gilda will teach the steps to build an accordion book that will give you skills that can be expanded to have pockets, angled photos, and simple zines. The second class will be Accordion Surprises, bringing the accordion to woven concertinas and flag books. The third class is Explosions, where you will create booklets that unfold, like the squash/dragon, or farmerâs purse. And the grand finale class will be custom notebooklets that can become anything from a photo album, a scrapbook or journal. Each class will build upon the previous, so please be sure that you can attend all four classes before you register.

Join us for a special session for the littlest learners! We will meet to sing, rhyme, bounce, tickle, and play together! Caregivers, get ready for some special time to focus on and bond with your little one. The program is geared to pre-walkers ages newborn to 12 months with a caring adult. (Babies older than 12 months who are not yet walking are also welcome!) Many of our activities are designed to be one-on-one, but older siblings can join and participate with their own "babies" if they bring a stuffed animal or doll.Participants in these themeless sessions will get familiar with repeated enrichment activities, new parent tips, and have opportunities to socialize with caregivers of children of a similar age. *Please register ONE child, and please add any additional childrenâs names and their age in the notes field.  Add the name of the adult(s) who will be accompanying the registered child in the "Parent/Guardian" field.*Please note â five minutes after the program start time, registered but unfilled seats may be given to waitlisted or walk-in participants.
