Studying for finals can be stressful - we get it. Let us make things just a bit easier for you! Stop by the Adult Reference desk to pick up a Study Boost Care Package filled with some study essentials (and some things just for fun!). Care packages will be available on a first-come-first-served basis starting Monday, Dec. 8th and will remain available until all have been claimed! No need to register. One care package per person, please :) Ages 11-19 are eligible.(Not studying this week? No worries. We will also have care packages available the following week, too!)

Indiana has been home to many successful female athletes including Brownsburg cyclist Chloe Dygert who is among 31 athletes profiled in a new coffee table book, “Inspiring Women of Indiana Sports: They Changed the Games We Love,” by longtime Indianapolis Star journalist David Woods. Other athletes featured in the book include Caitlin Clark, Tamika Catchings, Samantha Peszek, Molly Seidel, Lilly King, and more! David Woods is a sports reporter who has covered the Olympics since 1996 and the Butler Bulldogs since 2001. Woods, a Brownsburg resident, will talk about his book and sign copies.Come join us to hear about these amazing and inspiring athletes!Books may be purchased by check or cash only and are $40. Join Brownsburg Public Library for an easy papercraft book series! In this series, taught by Gilda Amarante, you will learn how to build everything from simple accordion booklets to notebooks. In class one, Gilda will teach the steps to build an accordion book that will give you skills that can be expanded to have pockets, angled photos, and simple zines. The second class will be Accordion Surprises, bringing the accordion to woven concertinas and flag books. The third class is Explosions, where you will create booklets that unfold, like the squash/dragon, or farmer’s purse. And the grand finale class will be custom notebooklets that can become anything from a photo album, a scrapbook or journal. Each class will build upon the previous, so please be sure that you can attend all four classes before you register.
