Join us for Young Hoosier Book Club for grades 3-5! Every month, we will meet and discuss one of the Young Hoosier Intermediate Nominated books. Each month we will rate the book on a scale of 1-5. In April, our ratings will be submitted to the Young Hoosier Book Award Committee.This month, we will be reading, "Table Titans Club" by Scott Kurtz. Valeria Winters has found the perfect place to fit in at her new school -- The Table Titans Club. This tabletop gaming club offers her instant friendship and acceptance. So when the future of the club is threatened, Val makes it her personal quest to save the Table Titans. Sheâll have to face the fire-breathing wrestling coach and popular girl Kate, who seems out for revenge. As the quest grows more and more complicated, Val wishes she was like her peaceful druid Lulani from the Table Titans' campaign, whose calm voice always prevails. If she loses her cool in real life, Val might lose more than the Table Titans club. She'll have to roll a natural 20 in charisma to keep her new friends together.

Kids ages 5 to 11 can bring along a favorite book and read aloud to some of the BEST listeners around:  The sweet and cuddly therapy pets from Love on a Leash!Registration is required.  Kids must check in at the Children's Desk the evening of the event and sign up for a 20 minute time slot.  They will then spend a few minutes reading with each of the dogs while also learning a little about what therapy pets do!

Other athletes featured in the book include Caitlin Clark, Tamika Catchings, Samantha Peszek, Molly Seidel, Lilly King, and more! David Woods is a sports reporter who has covered the Olympics since 1996 and the Butler Bulldogs since 2001.
