Join us for First Chapter Fridays! We will read the first few chapters of a different book every month and then do fun activities based on that book! Participants will have an opportunity to check out the book or place a hold on it at the end of the Program. This month's book is "Greenglass House" by Kate Milford. Itâs wintertime at Greenglass House. The creaky smugglerâs inn is always quiet during this season, and twelve-year-old Milo, the innkeepersâ adopted son, plans to spend his holidays relaxing. But on the first icy night of vacation, out of nowhere, the guest bell rings. Then rings again. And again... Soon Miloâs home is bursting with odd, secretive guests, each one bearing a strange story that is somehow connected to the rambling old house. As objects go missing and tempers flare, Milo and Meddy, the cookâs daughter, must decipher clues and untangle the web of deepening mysteries to discover the truth about Greenglass Houseâand themselves.

Join us for Young Hoosier Book Club for grades 3-5! Every month, we will meet and discuss one of the Young Hoosier Intermediate Nominated books. Each month we will rate the book on a scale of 1-5. In April, our ratings will be submitted to the Young Hoosier Book Award Committee.This month, we will be reading, "Table Titans Club" by Scott Kurtz. Valeria Winters has found the perfect place to fit in at her new school -- The Table Titans Club. This tabletop gaming club offers her instant friendship and acceptance. So when the future of the club is threatened, Val makes it her personal quest to save the Table Titans. Sheâll have to face the fire-breathing wrestling coach and popular girl Kate, who seems out for revenge. Kids ages 5 to 11 can bring along a favorite book and read aloud to some of the BEST listeners around:  The sweet and cuddly therapy pets from Love on a Leash!Registration is required.  Kids must check in at the Children's Desk the evening of the event and sign up for a 20 minute time slot.  They will then spend a few minutes reading with each of the dogs while also learning a little about what therapy pets do!

Other athletes featured in the book include Caitlin Clark, Tamika Catchings, Samantha Peszek, Molly Seidel, Lilly King, and more!
