Mahjong 102 is the next step for players who know the fundamentals of American Mahjong and are ready to build confidence at the table. This class focuses on reinforcing the basics while introducing strategy, defensive play, and gameplay tips that help everything start to click.Perfect for players who have attended Mahjong 101 (or recently learned the basics elsewhere) and want a supportive, social environment to keep practicing and improving.Registration required. Space is limited to 16 players per class, so if you register and can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible.

We're partnering with the Forest Preserves of Cook County! Kayak on Thatcher Glen Pond at the Trailside Museum with members of the Children's staff! Children 5 and up and their adult can join us on the pond in a tandem kayak! Trips are estimated to be 1-2 hours. Personal flotation devices and equipment are included. We will go over paddling and safety before getting on the water. Registration is required and can only be done in person at the Children's Desk. This program is for children with an accompanying grownup. In order to participate waivers must be signed at time of registration and at least 5 days in advance of event. You will not be able to participate otherwise. A waiver is required for each participant. Please also view the attached clothing recommendations.
