Sound Baths have become one of our community’s favorite ways to relax. Join Techny Prairie Activity Center for a rejuvenating and immersive full body listening experience using therapeutic sounds and vibrations to restore harmony in the mind, body and spirit. During a Sound Bath, participants lie on a mat while our certified instructor, Brook, plays a variety of instruments – such as crystal bowls, chimes and tuning forks. The frequencies from the sounds create a meditative and calming atmosphere, helping alleviate stress and promote deep relaxation. Blankets are available, or bring your own. All levels welcome. The Northbrook Park District is excited to offer the MLB Pitch Hit & Run competition. PHR is a FREE, 1-day event for boys and girls ages 7-14 and provides an opportunity for youth to compete in the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. Participants will complete in either the baseball or softball division and have the opportunity to advance through three levels of competition. Local winners will compete in the finals before an MLB game. Approximate arrival times by last name: A-K – 5:30pm L-Q – 6pm R-Z – 6:30pm Registration & Availability Once registration is closed on Thursday, April 23, registration will be available on site the day of the event.
