Will County residents are invited to share their ideas and help shape the future of our community as part of the Will County Land Resource Management Plan. Community open houses will be held April 28 and May 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at multiple locations across Will County. Residents can learn about the planning process and provide input on important topics such as housing, transportation, environment, economic development, and more. We are pleased to offer monthly FAFSA Help Nights to support students and families with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). These events are designed to provide hands-on assistance, answer questions, and help families navigate the financial aid process for college, trade school, or other postsecondary options. FAFSA Help Night sessions will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on February 25 at Joliet West High School, on March 18 at Joliet Central High School, and on April 29 at Joliet West High School. Families may attend any session that works best for their schedule. School counselors, staff and community partners will be available to provide guidance, troubleshoot issues, and answer questions related to FAFSA completion.

Cheer on the Joliet Central Steelmen and Joliet West Tigers boys’ volleyball teams as they face off in the Volley4Vets Showdown on May 12 in the Joliet West Gym. Games are at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Enter the building through Door 13 (Near the Field House off Glenwood Ave). Tickets are available on  Go Fan . This crosstown rivalry isn’t just about volleyball—it’s about honoring Will County veterans and raising critical funds for veterans in our community. Event t-shirts are available  HERE  until April 19 for $20, with 100% of the proceeds staying right here in our community to support our local veterans. The planning team is also seeking donation of raffle baskets and basket items.  To donate, email  [email protected] .
