Eighth-grade promotion has been rescheduled to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at Glenbard South High School. The ceremony will be held indoors, in the Glenbard South gym. Some important information about promotion:May 30 will be the last day of student attendance for eighth graders. Our eighth graders do not need to attend, and should not be at school, on May 31 or June 3.If CCSD 89 schools are closed for additional days due to weather, the promotion ceremony will still remain on May 30. This is the final date.There are no tickets to purchase for the promotion ceremony, and there are no limitations on how many people from each family can attend.Other than handicap reserved seating, we don't have any reserved seating options available. Seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.Doors for students and attendees will open at 7 p.m. Students can arrive at 7 p.m., and should arrive no later than 7:15 p.m. The ceremony will start promptly at 7:30 p.m.School expectations for student behavior will be applied during the promotion ceremony.
