Semi-formal dress is highly encouraged (no jeans, please!), and registration is required before May 8th, 2025. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided. Program Description: Join the Freeport Art Museum and the Stephenson County Historical Society for a special lecture exploring the people who shaped Freeport—from its earliest settlers to the workers, families, and community members whose daily efforts built and sustained the city over time. While highlighting key figures in Freeport’s growth, this conversation also shines a light on the often-overlooked stories of factory workers, small business employees, and everyday individuals whose contributions are just as vital to our shared history. Guests are encouraged to bring and share stories of their own families, workplaces, and experiences. Together, we’ll celebrate the idea that it takes many hands to build a community—and that every story matters.
