Social Consciousness Series events will be hosted throughout the school year to address the ongoing and pervasive microaggressions that impact our students and staff such as racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, Islamophobia and more. An affinity group model will be used to engage participants in a deeper conversation to help facilitate positive identity exploration and provide people with similar lived experiences. Our goal is to provide space for reflection, communication, mentorship and growth while creating a culturally responsive learning environment where everyone feels inspired, valued and respected.Students must register in advance to attend all Series events, held in various locations at ETHS during the school day. This event is for junior students and their parents/guardians to gain insight about initiating the college search process. Admissions representatives will provide professional insight into public and private college applications and admission. The presentation and materials will be made available online on the College and Career Resources page of the ETHS website following the evening program. This topic will also be presented in Spanish. Cada recorrido es de aproximadamente 60 minutos de duració n e incluye visitas a las instalaciones deportivas ala de educació n té cnica y de carreras bibliotecas y á reas de artes y artes escé nicas. Por favor permita un total de 1.5 horas para este evento. El recorrido durará aproximadamente 60 minutos seguido de una sesió n opcional de Preguntas y Respuestas. Los recorridos son organizados por el personal de ETHS con el apoyo de los Estudiantes Embajadores de ETHS. Las futuras o nuevas familias de ETHS miembros de la comunidad del Distrito 202 los dueñ os de negocios y personas que trabajan en las organizaciones o negocios en Evanston/Skokie está n invitados a asistir. Si bien no se brinda cuidado de niñ os los niñ os pueden asistir el recorrido del campus de ETHS con un adulto inscrito por favor tenga en cuenta que no se recomiendan los recorridos para niñ os menores de 5 o personas con movilidad limitada debido a la extensa caminata.
