A hands-on demonstration will walk through the steps to design and then cut out a small box from walnut, maple, oak, cherry, or similar hardwood.After the demonstration, class participants will:select one of several small box designs, be given a CNC-ready digital design file for their chosen box design, select milling-ready hardwood blanks to use to make their own box, and then schedule a subsequent four-hour session to cut their own box. The box created during the class will be raffled to one of the class participants.
