In 2021, 13,384 people died in alcohol-impaired driving traffic deaths â a 14% increase from 2020. These deaths were all preventable. In an average year, 30 million Americans drive drunk, and 10 million Americans drive impaired by illicit drugs. MADC encourages families, educators, health care providers, and community leaders to promote responsible decision-making and encourage young people to live free of drugs and alcohol. Extension cords will not be supplied, please bring your own.If you are competing, please be prepared to bring the following items: extension cords, decoration, additional tables if needed.Voting will be based upon the following factors: Appearance, Aroma, Flavor, & Texture. Voting will be on a scale of 1-5, 1 being the lowest score and 5 being the highest score. Each audience member will be given a scorecard to determine the winner.Set up starts as early as 9:30 AM. Please be all set up and ready to serve NO LATER than 11:30 AM on January 17th. TABLE LOCATION IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED!Please prepare at least 4 gallons of chili so all guests may have a chance to sample!
