Roving Riders - Lead by Patricia Johnson and others:  Kristen Dudley, Mike Lau; Chip Cox, [email protected].  Meet up at 7:15 and ride out at 7:30.  Different island-wide locations each week, and splits into ability groups: Fast, medium and slower (no one left behind) - 20-30 miles.  Training rides for both the HMC & HCR are conducted in this group.   There is actually a 4th group, but it is by invitation only - the RHL âSleep-In Beautiesâ.    People who want to know about our rides need to contact Patricia to be added to the RHL ListServ. The rides are posted each week, usually Thursday & Friday. We are a riding group with the Hawaii Bicycling League (HBL).  We request that all riders be members of HBL, and have signed the waiver on the website, hbl.org. All our ride leaders are volunteers and several have completed the League Cycling Instructors training (LCI) - a national designation from the League of American Cyclists. The Red Hot Ladies was created in July, 2007 by Pattie Dunn & Patricia Johnson, so that makes RHL 16 years old now.  Dottie Sunio handles RHL merchandise and we have our kits with Champion Team Apparel - they run small.  [email protected] Hope this helps explain some of âwho we areâ. General route: Tour of Kahala neighborhoods along outbound Kalanianaole Highway to Hawaii Kai to tackle a few hills and a stop at Starbucks at Koko Head Marina. General route: Kahala Comunity Center to Hawaii Kai, around Makapu`u through backroads of Waimanalo to Kailua for Brunch at Kalapawai Cafe. After a relaxing snack, return via Castle Hospital Junction, Old Kalaniana`ole Hwy, Waimanalo Backroads, Makapu`u Lookout, Hawaii Kai and return to Kahala Community Center. Outbound often includes Hanauma Bay to Sandyâs along the Ka `Iwi coast and tour of Bellows AFB.   Pace / level: Intermediate to Advanced Distance: 50-60 miles Start location: Kahala Community Center (Corner of Moa St. and Pahoa Ave.) Meet-up / roll-out time: 8:30 AM Ride Description: Join us for an amazing ride every Thursday to explore the south coast of Oahu by bike. Ride is customized by ride leaders based on weather and skill levels. No one left behind with multiple meet up points to keep group together. Many ride only to Makapu`u Lookout and return to the start for a shorter ride. Full Ride lasts approximately 5 hours with stops.
