The Pooch Plunge, presented by The Bark Park, is a festive event that invites dogs to enjoy an open swim before the Sailfish Splash Waterpark closes for winter, with proceeds benefiting homeless animals at HSTC. Guests can also bring pet supplies to support House of Hope and enjoy photos with Santa, music, Kelly’s Kones, a 50/50 raffle, and more. Admission ranges from $15–$40 based on the number of dogs, and pre-registration is encouraged. Please note that sessions are based on dog size. Before there was RENT, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning production that changed musicals forever, there was Tick Tick...Boom!, Jonathan Larson's semi-autobiographical explosive musical about life, death, and the necessity of art. The Barn Theatre is excited to be producing this fundraiser show with all ticket revenues being dedicated to its capital improvement projects. Tick Tick…Boom! tells the story of an aspiring composer named Jon, who lives in New York City in 1990. Jon is worried he made the wrong career choice to be part of the performing arts. The Barn is presenting this musical as part of its special event/concert series to raise money for its New Vision, the addition of a 1,500 square foot fully enclosed air-conditioned lobby with additional restrooms and other patron amenities.   Larson had been trying to establish himself in theater since the early 1980s. Larson began to perform the piece as a solo work in 1990. After his tragic death in 1996, the day RENT opened, from an aortic dissection, Tick Tick...Boom! was revised and revamped by playwright David Auburn as a three-actor piece and was premiered off-Broadway in 2001. Since then, the show has had  Off-West End and West End productions, an American national tour, two Off-Broadway revivals, in 2014 and 2016, and numerous local and international productions.   A film adaptation, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and starring Andrew Garfield in the lead role, was released in November 2021. It was well received by critics, and Garfield received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the role of Jonathan Larson.

On the second Sunday of every month, TCM offers a sensory friendly experience for children with disabilities or have sensory considerations. Explore the Museum in a sensory modified and supportive setting with limited admission, lowered sound stimulation and soft lighting. The goal is to provide your child with the opportunity to engage in social interactions and improve the processing, modulation and regulation of sensory input, allowing restricted access for children and families in a safe nurturing environment. You will also foster new relationships with families, making lasting connections and friendships! Admission to Sensory Friendly Sunday is $1. No registration required at this time, if capacity is full, Museum will close entry until capacity falls below its max threshold of 75 guests. Pre-registration may be implemented if monthly capacity rises. Multi-Sensory Access Programming made possible in part by Evie & Steve Klaassen- Colorado Pawn & Jewelry.
