Everyone is welcome to the open-topic discussions of the Socrates Cafe. At each meeting participants may suggest topics, and we vote to choose the topic.  Then we have a moderated discussion, in which everyone may address the topic and the issues raised. The rule is moderation - we participate to hear all viewpoints and politely express what we know, not to insist upon our own viewpoint.Socrates Café are gatherings around the world where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of the Socratic method: that we learn more when we respectfully listen and debate ideas with others.
