OVERFLOWKX2: Ruth Avra & Dana KleinmanBack Room GalleryOctober 3 â December 6, 2025Arts Warehouse is pleased to present a selection of work by KX2, on view through December 6th, 2025. Join us October 3, 6 â 9pm for First Friday Art Walk and a first look at OVERFLOW with the artists.Free admission âOVERFLOWâ is an exhibition that aims to address the pressing issues of climate change and environmental sustainability through art. The exhibition includes works created with repurposed materials to highlight the urgency of environmental challenges such as water quality, overdevelopment, air quality, and pollution. These artworks aim to bring attention to the impact of human activity on our environment, creating a dialogue about our planetâs fragile future and the need for immediate action. Â Creative influence is fostered in human experience. As artists inspired by the natural world, we are accustomed to reinterpreting organic patterns and colors within formal contemporary sculpture. Traditionally in our work, repurposed metals are joined with recycled canvas and paint to create bold abstract sculptures where waterways, shorelines and colors of the Eastern seaboard take center stage. More recently, we are creating work as a response to environmental stressors such as water rise, toxic pollution and over consumption which have pushed the planet to an unprecedented state of fragility. In each work, there is an emphasis on material and form that while aesthetically pleasing, we hope also conveys a message of human responsibility toward the environment. We hope our work creates a moment of pause, reflection and ultimately an awareness of relationship with each other and the planet. KX2 is a collaboration combining the strengths of artists and sisters Ruth Avra andÂ DanaÂ Kleinman who create contemporary sculpture merging metal and painting. Traditionally in their work, repurposed metals are joined with recycled canvas and paint to create bold abstract sculptures where waterways, shorelines and colors of the Eastern seaboard take center stage. More recently, they are creating work as a response to environmental stressors such as water rise, toxic pollution and over consumption which have pushed the planet to an unprecedented state of fragility. Since establishing their artistic collaboration in 2007, KX2âs work has been featured in notable galleries and museums around the world. Importantly, the work was leveraged to the international art scene with an invitation to represent the United States at the 2008 Beijing Biennale at the National Art Museum of China. Their work can be found in numerous private, corporate and public art collections throughout North America. Avra and Kleinman currently reside with their individual families in Southern Florida.

Eisenach, Germany) is a German-American artist and pioneer known for his groundbreaking work in metal painting. His career is defined by an innovative approach that combines polished metal surfaces, light, and color to create artworks that challenge traditional perceptions of depth and space. Infinity Squared is an intimate and immersive selection of the artistâs metal paintings on view in the East Gallery at Arts Warehouse through January 24th, 2026. Nottebohmâs ability to transform metal into dynamic, light-reactive artworks has redefined the possibilities of this medium. His works bridge the gap between art and science, inspiring viewers to explore the interplay of light, space, and imagination. With a career spanning decades, Andreas Nottebohm has established himself as a true visionary, leaving a lasting impact on the art world. Andreas Nottebohmâs artistic journey began at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where he studied under the surrealist painter Mac Zimmermann. He then deepened his knowledge of etching with Johnny Friedlaender in Paris and studied lithography in Salzburg, Austria. During this time, he began using metal as a medium and discovered the unique reflective and transformative properties of the material. In 1978, Nottebohm held his first exhibition in the United States, where his work was highly praised by critics. This led him to settle in the San Francisco Bay Area, which remains his creative home to this day. A significant milestone in his career occurred in 1981 when NASA commissioned him to create official paintings for the first Space Shuttle mission of the Columbia. This collaboration established him as a visionary artist, seamlessly blending themes of science, technology, and the cosmos with his unique artistic techniques. Nottebohm is particularly renowned for using polished aluminum and other metals as his canvases. His process involves polishing, etching, and painting metal surfaces to create dynamic works that interact with light and change depending on the viewerâs perspective. His art evokes a sense of cosmic wonder and is often compared to the Op Art and visionary art movements. Nottebohmâs works are featured in prestigious institutions worldwide, including the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the Kennedy Space Center, the Crocker Art Museum, the Nevada Museum of Art, and the Museu de Arte Moderna in Rio de Janeiro. Over the course of his career, he has presented more than 100 solo exhibitions across Europe and the United States. In 2011, the University of Arizona honored him with a major retrospective that highlighted his innovative contributions to contemporary art. In recent years, he has collaborated with musician Pete Sears on a decade-long project that combines his metal artworks with experimental music, expanding the sensory dimensions of his art. He has had over 150 one-man shows. His paintings have been shown in galleries and museums worldwide, including the Smithsonian Museum and the Crocker Museum in Sacramento, Ca. Over the years the value of his artwork in one-of-a-kind original format has steadily increased. Crocker Museum curator observed that Nottebohm âteases the eye and challenges the mind.â

Isolated in the countryside, he would spend his time drawing and cycling long distances, when not at school. When he was 18 his family moved to Milan, and after beginning to study Fine Arts, disappointed with the learning, at the age of 20 he began a pilgrimage which led him to live in many places around the world. After studying Illustration in Falmouth (England) and then Dundee (Scotland) he went to Madrid (Spain) where he resumed his studies in Fine Arts and at the same time he began exhibiting in art galleries. In 2006 he won the most prestigeous painting prize in Spain, the âPremio BMWâ, and in 2007 he finished his Master of Fine Arts. In 2008 he moved to London, where he had several solo exhibitions, and in 2016 to Glasgow (Scotland). In this city, where there is hardly any of the sun that he grew up with, and while he was preparing solo exhibitions for international galleries in Lima (PerĂş), Madrid (Spain) or San Francisco (USA), he decided there was no point in struggling to find a good artist studio and commit to spending years in the same place. He stopped accumulating objects, got rid of possessions and began to travel and paint wherever he was, and then take the rolled-up canvases to the galleries with which he collaborated. In 2017 he began to travel with two suitcases and a tube for the canvases, where he captured the inspiration found in each place. In 2023 Del Campo moved to Miami. Del Campo has had solo shows in Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, London, Milan, Lugano, Lima, San Francisco and Dallas, and has participated in group shows and art fairs in Europe, Asia, the United States and Latin America. In his art, locations remain unidentifiable, as he frequently blends aspects from one city with those of another. Instead, his primary emphasis lies on individuals, their narratives, connections, and emotions, which surpass geographical boundaries and manifest in a more extensive human encounter. He paints people his friends and family, and the people he meets in his travels, and fondly cultivates his circle without borders. His paintings, far from simply seeking to capture a resemblance with his sitters or the reality as it is, strive to construct a narrative. He gets inspiration from the stories of his sitters, to speak about the uprooting, the zest for life, the solitude and the awareness of the ephemeral. In his recent paintings, heâs transcending realism, crafting compositions that embody fragments of a reality formed by diverse moments and places. This intermediate-level workshop is designed for photographers who want to develop meaningful, long-term projects with creative intention and mentorship. Over this session, youâll refine your artistic voice, explore what inspires you, and learn how to shape your images into a cohesive body of work. Youâll have the opportunity to photograph with the group, add new images to your portfolio, and receive personalized feedback of your portfolio. Weâll study the work of photographers whose projects have made lasting impact â discussing how such work is created, funded, and shared. Youâll leave with concrete ideas, inspiration, and a plan to carry your passion project forward. What to ExpectYouâll explore notable photography projects, participate in a guided shooting assignment, and discuss creative approaches. Youâll also share new work, receive individualized feedback, and develop an action plan for your ongoing project. If you already have a project in progress, please bring a portfolio of 10 images for group review (digital or printed). If not, bring 10 of your favorite photos to begin building your concept. Since 2018 she has taught photography classes to students K-12 as a Senior Artist in Residence at the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County, the fifth largest Club organization in the United States. Sharing her knowledge of photography, she sparked interest in hundreds of young kids who have learned how to use digital cameras, tell a story visually, create interesting portraits and intentionally explore their communities. Andrea curates an annual group exhibit of her studentsâ best work of the year to be on display at Florida Atlantic Universityâs Schmidt Gallery. Other exhibits of her studentsâ work include the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center in Belle Glade and the Lighthouse ArtCenter in Tequesta. She has led educational trips with National Geographic Student Expeditions and Putney Student Travel, focusing on photography while collaborating with experts in other fields like biology and science. Andrea is based in Boca Raton, Florida. Her work focuses on issues surrounding identity, migration, memory through the lens of visual storytelling. Her photography journey began in high school seeing her images come to life in darkroom chemicals. She received dual bachelors degrees in Journalism and Visual Art Studies from the University of Florida (2015). We encountered strangeness and difference at every turn, but the sunlight, sky, and green nature of the subtropical culture always gave me warm inspiration. I have lived in South Florida for a decade now compressing and symbolizing this into color-rich cubes representing home, the strangeness of being different from my native country, and the process of adapting. Gradually, I developed a series of portraits exploring the signifiers of human nature. Humanoid figures are portrayed as childrenâs dolls with exaggerated heads and smaller torsos and are centered and anchored as if trying to root themselves into the frame. They reflect child-like vulnerability where the feelings of dread, loneliness, and weakness to the familiar/unfamiliar world are present. Dimensional crystalline shapes simultaneously create and break the form symbolizing complex units that both comprise and undermine identity. Color is bold and convincing, resembling that of nationality, yet it doesnât reveal the true origin of the figure. In this process of seeing and feeling all my surrounding environments, large puzzles are put together one by one, and these experiences are fused and harmonized in one complete work. ** Please note, Refunds will be processed only if requested 72+ hours prior to scheduled workshop date/time. Her background includes extensive undergraduate coursework in drawing, painting, 3-D design, performance art, and art history and graduate courses in film and computer art. She holds an MBA in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an A.A.S. in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design, an M.A. in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Judaic Studies from the University at Albany. Jewelry Wax to Silver - Ring Carving

Create.Join us for an immersive jewelry-making experience where youâll design and shape your ring using specialized jewelerâs wax, navigating the entire process from initial concept to final product. What You Will Do: â Learn the ancient art of wax carving, and the process behind lost wax metal casting â Design your ring according to your desired size and style â Utilize precision tools for shaping, carving, filing, texturing, and sanding. â Receive hands-on assistance from our instructor throughout the workshop. Once your wax ring model is complete,Â we will manage the subsequent stepâcasting it in solid sterling silverÂ using the lost-wax process. Each student will be allotted 15 grams of silver. Heavier peices will require a 15-30 dollar metal surcharge depending on the final weight. Your finished ring will be professionally cleaned and tumble polished, and it will be shipped to you in 3-4 weeks.
