This December, our community comes together to honor stories of courage that span generations. Join neighbors, volunteers, and park staff as we light the grounds of Battleground National Cemetery in a heartfelt tribute to those who served our nation. Each glowing lantern represents a life lost—41 US soldiers resting at Battleground National Cemetery and the men and women who died on December 7, 1941, at Pearl Harbor. As we walk the illuminated path together, we’ll reflect on their legacy and the ways their sacrifices continue to shape our shared history. Everyone is welcome. Bring your family, your friends, and your heart. Let’s gather as a community to remember, reflect, and keep their light shining.

After a brief ceremony, volunteers of all ages will lay fresh evergreen wreaths, each one placed with care and each veteran’s name spoken aloud to keep their memory alive. This meaningful tradition invites us to reflect, remember, and teach future generations the importance of service and sacrifice. Whether you're a longtime participant or joining for the first time, your presence helps ensure their stories are never forgotten. Come be part of a moment of unity, gratitude, and remembrance.
