About Us
The Westport Woman’s Club, organized in 1907, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) philanthropic organization dedicated to volunteerism and the raising of funds in support of the charitable, educational, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns. Membership is open to all women who live or work in Westport and the surrounding areas; there is no Westport residency requirement. Founded in 1907, the WWC achieves its goals through various fundraisers, including the Yankee Doodle Fair and Curio Cottage Thrift Shop. All members may contribute their time, talent, and energies to the community service and fundraising activities of the Club. The WWC also offers a variety of social events and special interest groups to appeal to a diverse group of women. It’s a great way to meet new people and try new things. (Visit our website for a list of our Special Interest Groups.) WWC Members can also rent the facility for a private party at a reduced rate. General membership meetings are held monthly, usually on the first Monday of the month with a catered lunch and guest speaker. Our largest fundraiser is our Yankee Doodle Fair held in June, traditionally on Fathers Day weekend. It’s an all-hands-on-deck weekend with members volunteering for a variety of shifts and fair activities. Lots of fun. For more information on WWC membership, please contact the current Membership Chair, Robin Clark at [email protected]. Prospective members wishing to have a tour of the Westport Woman’s Club may also contact our Office Manager, Sarah, at 203-227-4240.
